Since I don’t have swipe up capabilities, I’ve put together this little post to list all of my favorite things! Most of these are found on Amazon, offer free prime shipping, and are affordable and quality goods ๐ I know that it’s a little annoying that these links don’t open the Amazon app, but when you click the link and follow through, you support this girl’s dream, which I SUPER appreciate ๐
Adorable Peplum tank
I LOVE this tank. It’s super cute, comfy, nursing friendly (what what?!), and only $17! Super cute. I love it paired with some white jeans, and maybe a jean jacket. I love the peplum, and the fact that it dips in the back, so you don’t have to worry about the peplum part hitting the wrong part of your waist (all you long torso girls- I’m with you in your pain lol.
Incredible and affordable leggings
These are great! I got them and immediately put them on, and have absolutely zero complaints so far. They’re super soft, high quality, under $25, and have pockets! I’ve been looking for a pair of cropped, soft leggings with pockets, and this pair checked all the boxes. I often wear it with my jacket (shown below) from the same brand, and it’s my perfect comfy but not lazy loungewear ๐
Athletic jacket
I don’t shop at Lululemon, because $$$$$$, but I’ve heard from sooo many people that this is an amazing dupe for theirs. Over 1,000 reviews, and it still has 4.5 stars! Has long sleeves with thumb holes (I don’t usually use the thumb holes, so I just fold the sleeves a bit and still looks super cute), pockets, and is under $40. Absolute steal when you compare it to the $100 one from Lululemon, with the same quality
Butter dish
This might seem silly, but we’ve been looking for a nice butter dish for a while! We had one when we were first married, but it only holds half a stick of butter, and that’s just not reasonable for us anymore with 2 kids, and lately we’ve just been using a small plate, but not anymore- this one is amazing! It can hold 2 full sticks of butter, has a lid, and I love the color. It even shows in pictures that you can put the butter on the wooden “lid” part, and use the blue/white “dish” part as a lid, which I thought was pretty nifty, if you don’t want to be scraping butter from the inside of the dish. Either way, would work great, and is dishwasher safe! I’m all for ANYTHING that I can throw in the dishwasher ๐
Super soft blanket
This blanket has been on my Amazon wish list for MONTHS now, and I’m so glad I finally bought it- it’s super soft on both sides, is fairly heavy, but not weighted or suffocatingly hot, and I LOVE the leopard print. Maybe not the most reasonable thing to buy in April right before a warm summer, but if you’re in the midwest and still have some cold nights, this is the perfect blanket to cozy up with.
Bathroom scale
Ok, I’ve never actually owned a bathroom scale, I mostly just relied on how my clothes fit and didn’t really pay attention to my weight, but after having my second babe, I was having a lot of trouble getting back to my normal weight, and not having a scale made it even harder to see if my efforts were actually helping (they weren’t)… so I finally broke down and got one. And boy, did I get a good one. This one not only tells you your weight, it also tells you a host of other things, like BMI, body fat percentage, body water, skeletal muscle, and a ton of other things. I always figured that scales that told you more than you weight were guessing and therefore, probably wrong, but I looked it up, and it’s actually pretty legit! There are these sensors on the scale that go through your feet and send some type of electrical current (don’t ask me how that works, I still don’t fully understand it… all I know is I can’t feel any type of shock or anything), but for a $26 scale, that’s pretty good! You download a free app on your phone, and then the scale transmits all the data to that, and they even have a section where they track your progress on all the different data points over time. I highly recommend.
Ant traps
I don’t know about you guys, but every spring and summer, those little buggers come and infest my kitchen! Drives me crazy. I tried a ton of different home remedies, but none of them worked even a little. Then I tried to spray them, and that worked for a couple days, until they found a new way in. Then I tried some ant traps that my mom had, and those didn’t work at all- apparently those were for a specific type of ant, the kind in my kitchen was not that. These are great- they cover a ton of different ant species, and whenever I put them out, I leave it overnight and come back the next day to find either no ants at all, or random dead ones littered around. It’s a poison that doesn’t work right away, so the point is for them to bring it back to the nest and spread it to everyone there. Works way better than spraying. Plus you get 4 in a pack for only $11, and you can even use the same one multiple times- I put one out on my kitchen table, and then a few days later, found some ants in a different part of the house, and moved it there, and still found dead ones. Very successful ๐
